    Finland lives from summer holiday to the next. We wait for the summer the whole, long spring and get ready for the holiday season well in advance. This spring especially well in advance. Actually it seems that at the moment we live from recession to the next. Market analysts predict growth, decline, and something in between on a daily basis. Today it looks like the economy will rise tomorrow, next year, or maybe not. The only things we know for sure right now: the sun rises in the east and we can’t push a rope.

Previous Ratkaisun paikka event in Helsinki gathered 300 participants, this time we were close to 1000. Many companies create a corporate social responsibility strategy but CSR should be an integral part of the operations and thus part of the business strategy.

    “Those unable to change themselves cannot change what goes on around them.” I found the above statement in an e-mail signature. I was left to wonder what it means for myself and the environment where I live. We mostly see all sorts of issues to change or things that are not in order with other people. It’s fairly easy to make a comment about those, and that’s it then. Changing our own activities is much harder.
